Loss of Appetite
 
Loss of appetite is also called as Anorexia, a symptom of disturbed digestion and common results from failure of activity of the stomach and secretion of gastric juices due to low vitality.People suffer from anorexia when they habitually take a faulty diet and hardly do any physical work. It may cause from physical stress and strain. It also can be caused by mental or domestic worry, emotional disturbances. Difficult working condition and nervous disorder also may cause Anorexia
 
Ayurvedic Approach :-
 
In ayurveda loss of appetite or anorexia is known as Arochakam in Ayurveda. Arochakam is a state in which person develop dislike for food, though he/she may feel hungry. Arochakam or anorexia can be caused by a variety of conditions and diseases.Some of the conditions can be temporary like fever or certain medication, etc. and such condition corrected itself as the primary disease treated or the patient stop use of particular medicines. But some of the conditions can be of more serious nature, such as from the effects of underlying cancer or other serious disease. In a general state it is advisable to give the patient any food he likes, be it even a little less nutritious. In the case of persisting loss of appetite one should essentially consult a doctor.

    Bullet   Diet:- Take 3 meals a day, include friuts such as apples, pears, grapes, oranges, pineapple, peaches in the diet
         
    Bullet   Behaviour:- Cleansing of the digestive tract, bowels should be cleansed with warm water
         
  Dont's :-      
         
    Bullet   Diet:- Avoid toxic food, laxatives
         
    Bullet   Behaviour:- Avoid hatred towards food
